5K Races in Fort Collins this Spring

As a t-shirt printing company, we’ve made our fair share of 5K participation shirts! We’re all about 5K races (and farther, if that’s your thing). It’s no surprise Fort Collins loves them too. Here’s some great races to sign up for if you’re looking for a fun way to get active this spring. The fact that dogs are invited and you’re raising money for local causes is just a bonus!

Sharin’ O the Green

City Park

March 16, 2019

Partners Mentoring Youth hosts an annual 5K just in time for St. Patrick’s Day! Bring your dog, get decked out in festive clothing, and enjoy a free beer from Odell Brewing Co! Children under 12 can participate in the Shamrock Scurry, a one mile race. Also, Burt’s is designing the shirts for this race. We’re so excited for this event, we’ll see you there!

Fast and Furriest 5K

CSU Oval

April 27, 2019

CSU’s veterinary program organizes this family-friendly race to raise money for the Companion Care Fund. This helps people to pay for life-saving veterinary care at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital. Bring your pooch, your kids, and the whole family to the CSU oval for a great run with NoCo’s cutest pups!

Twin Silo Sprint 5K

Fossil Ridge High School

April 27, 2019

This race is put on by Fossil Ridge High School along with the other high schools in Poudre School District. It raises money for multiple organizations that support our youth of Colorado. Of course, there is also a one mile race for kids ages 5-12!

Flying Pig 5K

Spring Canyon Park

April 7, 2019

This year is the 11th annual Flying Pig 5K! This race benefits the Foothills Gateway Family Support Services Program. The program eases the stress for families that have a child with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Kids under the age of 10 can participate in the free Piglet Walk!

Bob Turner Classic

Turner Middle School, Berthoud

May 4, 2019

This will be the 17th annual Bob Turner Classic, where participants can either run or walk the 5K to support Turner Middle School. Dogs are invited, and all ages are welcome! Younger children can enter the Dragon Dash 100, a one block fun run.
