Get Ready for the Colorado Brewers’ Festival Scavenger Hunt!

The 28th Annual Colorado Brewers’ Festival is returning to Downtown Fort Collins during the last weekend of June! Beer lovers near and far are invited to this award-winning event set in Washington Park. The weekend kicks off Friday, June 23rd with The Summit, followed by the Main Festival on Saturday, June 24th and Sunday, June 25th. The Colorado Brewers’ Festival features more than 90 Colorado beers, 40 Colorado breweries, and free festival entry!

Burt’s is proud to create the shirts for this event once again, and we want to give you the opportunity to win one (along with a Tasting Package!) through our Colorado Brewers’ Festival scavenger hunt during the month of June.

Here is how you can participate!

  1. On Tuesdays June 6, 13 and 20, a different brewery will be selected as the scavenger hunt destination.
  2. On the morning of each scavenger hunt, a set of clues will be posted to Burt’s Facebook page and Instagram account. The clues will allude to one brewery in Fort Collins during each of the contest days. Start thinking of your favorite brewery – it may just be that day’s destination!
  3. From the moment the brewery opens to the moment it closes, players will have the opportunity to solve the clue and race to the brewery that they think is the correct one. In order to win, players must first like Burt’s Facebook page and Instagram.
  4. The first one to arrive at the brewery will be greeted by one of our crew members and be awarded with a Colorado Brewers’ Festival Tasting Package – includes a pint glass and beer tickets – and a festival t-shirt designed by Burt’s!
  5. A new brewery will be selected each week. There is no limit to how many times an individual may win. So keep on playing!

Best of luck and we’ll see you at the end of the hunt. Cheers!

The Face Behind the Biz: Meet Jane!

You may know her as the friendly voice on the other end of the line when you place a t-shirt order, but we know her as Jane, the guts and glue of the operation. Burt’s Logo Apparel wouldn’t be the same without our office manager (who also happens to be Burt’s sister!), so we thought it was high time for you to get to know a bit about her:

When did you start working at Burt’s Logo Apparel and what is your role?

I started working at Burt’s in 1999. As the office manager, my duties are varied but I mainly work with customers to place their orders.

What do you love most about your job?

The best part of my job are the customers! I have met a lot of really wonderful people through my job at Burt’s, and we have a great customer base made up of good people!

What would people be surprised to learn about you?

Most people I work with through Burt’s probably don’t know that my job here is my third career. I graduated from CSU with a Social Work degree and worked in that field for a little while. I then worked in banking for 23 years and performed just about every job at the bank except maybe the president. My job at Burt’s has been a mix of using my past work experience and building on that with new knowledge that I have acquired about the garment decorating industry.

What is your funniest work memory?

The funniest memory I have at work is when my lap top caught on fire when I was using it! Wow – what a surprise! Needless to say, that was a unique experience.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?

The superpower I would like to have is the ability to fly. I have always thought that would be super cool!

What famous person would you like to meet and what would you ask them?

There are two famous people that come to mind who I would like to meet – Oprah Winfrey and Martha Stewart. They are both self-made successful businesswomen, and I admire that very much. Plus, they are both very creative. I would ask them when they knew they were going to transition from an ordinary person to a super successful one and how they handle their success and grow with it. That would be an interesting conversation!

There you have it! Next time you place an order with Burt’s, be sure to tell Jane hello (and maybe ask her if she has a fire extinguisher next to her laptop).

6 Thank-You Gifts for Any Business

If you work in the service sector of society, you know as well as we do that loyal customers are the bread and butter of any business’s success. Showing a little bit of appreciation for these customers can go a long way. Keep your favorite customers around with a spontaneous thank-you gift once or twice a year. Here are just a few suggestions:

1. Mini Bamboo Blossom Kit
Everyone could use a desk plant to brighten their day. Plus, bamboos have a long lifespan (even if your gift recipient doesn’t have a green thumb!), so your branded pot will remind them of your kindness for many, many months.

2. Portable Charger
Portable chargers are a life saver for anyone on the go. This rechargeable battery is compatible with all smartphones, tablets, cameras and other devices thatuse a standard USB cable for charging.

3. Padfolio
For any customer that has an office job, padfolios are the perfect thank-you gift. Customize it with your logo to put your business in front of your customer’s contacts as well.

4. RFID Blocking Phone Wallet
Help your customers protect against identity theft with an RFID blocking phone wallet. These handy sleeves stick to the back of a smartphone and are lined with Lycra cloth and aluminum foil to prevent electronic pickpockets from stealing card information.

5. Stainless Steel Travel Tumbler
Yes, it may be a common gift, but we’re calling travel mugs oldies but goodies. We all need our coffee to jumpstart us in the morning, and we all need at least few travel tumblers to put it in.

6. Industry-Specific Gifts
Tailoring a thank-you gift to your customer’s industry or hobby is a surefire way to score extra points. Golf balls, dog toys and calendars are just a few industry-specific gift options.

Show gratitude for your best customers with these fun gifts. Check out our complete range of promotional products for more ideas!

Can you give us a brief overview of Resurrection Christian School?

Resurrection Christian School is the number one private Christian school in northern Colorado. It is located in Loveland with more than 1,000 students, preschool through high school. RCS Bands have been working with Burt’s for the past three years.

What products has Resurrection Christian School gotten from Burt’s?

We use Burt’s for our middle school band uniform polos, high school pep band t-shirts and band spirit wear.

Does having branded materials help communicate Resurrection Christian School messaging to internal and external audiences?

Absolutely!! It is a great way to show our message and our school pride for RCS Band.

What made you choose Burt’s over other logo branding businesses in northern Colorado?

I have used Burt’s Logo Apparel at previous school band programs and have always been impressed with their high-quality products, great prices and wonderful staff.

What events does Resurrection Christian School have coming up?

We are excited to be presenting our Spring Awards Concert of May 19 at the Fort Collins Lincoln Center. The concert begins at 7:30 and tickets are available at the Lincoln Center Box Office. Our theme is a night on the screen and will be featuring pieces from the movies and television programs. It’ll be a great night.
