Burt’s Logo Apparel has had the opportunity to work with countless new businesses to help them jumpstart their brands and get their names out and about in the community. In recent months, we have enjoyed getting to know Flutterby Ceramics, a new place in town where guests can explore their creativity. Check out our Q&A with owner Amanda Edgington to learn more about this new business!
Can you explain Flutterby Ceramics for those who are not yet familiar with your business? Flutterby is a fun paint-your-own-pottery studio! Customers can walk in any time, paint an item off our shelves, and we’ll fire it for you to pick up a week later. We also offer glass fusion projects, classes, events and of course host birthday parties. Flutterby is a laidback, fun place to get creative with no experience necessary; our friendly staff will help every step of the way.
What products has Flutterby gotten from Burt’s?
Burt’s has provided us with our employee t-shirts so far. We look forward to continuing to work with Burt’s in the future!
How does having printed products help promote Flutterby and share its branding within the community, especially in the context of being a new business?
Having printed t-shirts are such an amazing way to help create awareness in the community of our new studio. Word of mouth is so important in our industry, and having employees with our shirts on while they are out and about definitely starts the conversation with people who have never heard of us. We also love our simple design – it gets people interested and also excited to learn more about what we do. We can’t wait to share our love of art with all of Fort Collins!
What made you choose Burt’s over other logo printing businesses in northern Colorado?
Burt’s came highly recommended from the local community! They are a small business like we are, and we love supporting other local businesses as much as possible.

Although Burt’s Logo Apparel has called Fort Collins home for more than 30 years, our beyond-FoCo customers are certainly near and dear to our hearts as well! We’d like to take a moment to introduce you to one of our longtime Loveland customers, the City of Loveland’s Parks and Recreation Department.
Can you give us a brief overview of the City of Loveland’s Parks and Recreation Department and its different programs?
The City of Loveland Parks and Recreation Department consists of five divisions, offering diverse and comprehensive year-round programming for all ages at a number of facilities throughout Loveland. Divisions include Parks, Recreation, Open Lands & Trails, Golf, and Administration, with 31 city parks, Chilson Recreation/Senior Center, 900 acres of public access natural areas, an 18-mile paved trail system, three golf courses, Winona Outdoor Pool, and Lake Loveland Swim Beach.
How long has the City of Loveland worked with Burt’s Logo Apparel?
Loveland Parks & Recreation has been working with Burt’s since the mid-1990s. The Recreation Division originally began ordering League Champion t-shirts about 20 years ago and continues to do so today based on quality products and service. Burt’s has supplied promotional apparel for numerous special events, unique programs and staff uniforms over the years since.
What products has the City of Loveland gotten from Burt’s?
The Chilson Recreation Center has purchased a variety of promotional apparel, including t-shirts to celebrate events and programs, as well as shirts, jackets and vests to identify staff members. The Recreation Division purchases League Champion t-shirts for recreation leagues on a regular basis. The Open Lands & Trails Division ordered unique t-shirts for members of the Project Outdoors Youth Advisory Council, local students who are helping to plan new ways for Loveland youth to connect with nature. The specially-designed t-shirts featured partner and project logos.
How does having branded materials help communicate the Parks and Recreation Department’s mission to its audiences?
Branded materials help increase public awareness of Loveland Parks & Recreation and the programs and services that the City provides to the community. Branded apparel gives our staff a consistent, professional look, which in turn promotes our high-quality facilities and services.
What made you decide to order from Burt’s?
Burt’s was easy to work with, had the products we were looking for, provided detailed proofs, and offered a quick turnaround time for delivery. Burt’s has consistently provided quality, accurate products as promised.
What upcoming events does the Parks and Recreation Department have on its calendar?
This month, Loveland is celebrating Parks & Recreation Month, where you can “Get Your Play On.” And all year, the Parks & Recreation Department is celebrating Chilson Recreation Center’s 30th anniversary, so check out our website for featured activities, programs, and events.
Thank you, City of Loveland, for your continued partnership with Burt’s, and we hope everyone will have a chance to participate in its upcoming events!
At Burt’s, we love building strong, long-lasting relationships with our clients, but we also love getting to know the fantastic new businesses coming to Fort Collins. On that note, we’d like to introduce you to Gilded Goat Brewing Company, a new brewery in town that opened in early 2017. We’ve had the pleasure of working with this great local business and want you to get to know them as well:
1. Can you give us a brief overview and history of Gilded Goat Brewing Company?
We opened up Feb. 3 of this year, and I don’t think any of us expected to be doing this well just a few months into the business. Charlie and Ben are making beer that stands out in a crowded Fort Collins market, and our taproom brings something different to the scene here – it is spacious and filled with oak wood, the upstairs mezzanine looks down into the brewhouse, and overall it captures the spirit of those countless European pubs the Hoxmeier family have toured.
And that’s where the idea originally came from. This is a family brewery, and the Hoxmeiers from the start wanted to open a place for the community to come together and share great beer, like those old classic pubs of southern Germany and England. Their oldest son, Charlie, began brewing in his garage more than 10 years ago while getting his PhD in microbiology. When it became evident that this was his calling, they pulled in Ben Petersen from a huge brewery on the Hudson River and began building the brewery.
Today, both brewers complement each other beautifully, with a devotion to both the scientific and artistic side of brewing. And each is proud that we don’t necessarily “brew to style” but instead embrace the innovative spirit of Colorado’s craft beer industry, while respecting the great traditions of brewing in Europe.
2. What products has Gilded Goat gotten from Burt’s?
All of our clothing comes from Burt’s – men’s tees and women’s tees, sweatshirt hoodies, hats and tanks.
3. How does having printed materials help communicate Gilded Goat’s branding to its customers?
It’s exciting for us to offer merchandise that carries the quality of our brand and increases the awareness of this brand in Fort Collins and northern Colorado. The other day, I saw a guy wearing one of our hats in Old Town, and it made me proud that he believed in our brewery enough to sport the goat on his head. It’s a simple hat, blue with a golden goat’s head in a circle, and it reminded me of our beer – bold and balanced and with the quality to speak for itself, no fancy gimmicks to distract customers from the great beer and the great taproom we offer.
4. What made you choose Burt’s over other logo branding businesses in northern Colorado?
Burt’s has been in northern Colorado for a long time, and based on your business history and reputation, we felt like we couldn’t go wrong with Burt’s.
5. What events or specials does Gilded Goat have coming up?
We’re planning for an epic summer block party outside in the parking lot (goat races may be involved), time and date to be determined. Every Monday we host a “Retro Game Night,” where a lot of our regulars come in and compete, tourney-style, on some classic N64 games like Mario Kart and 007 Goldeneye for a chance at a free night’s tab.
Thanks for taking a moment to get to know our friends at Gilded Goat! We hope you will stop by their location at 3500 S College Ave #194 for a cold brew after work (and ask for more details about those goat races!).
