Run for a Good Cause at Sharin’ O’ the Green!
Looking for a way to support a fantastic local nonprofit, get some exercise in downtown Fort Collins and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day all at once? We’ve got the solution for you! One of our favorite Fort Collins nonprofits, Partners Mentoring Youth, invites you to participate in their annual Sharin’ O’ the Green 5K race.
In accordance with its St. Patrick’s Day theme, Sharin’ O’ the Green takes place on the morning of March 11 at Library Park in downtown Fort Collins. The race sees an excellent turnout each year of more than 2,000 runners, all of whom dress up in their finest Irish gear to support Partners’ mission of providing one-on-one mentorship to at-risk youth in the community.
The cost to participate is only $30 per team of four (or $35 per individual), and youth under the age of 17 are free. Kids are also encouraged to participate in the Shamrock Scurry before the 5K begins. Registration ends March 8 and includes race entry, a pint of Odell beer and – of course – a super stylin’ shirt from Burt’s!
If running isn’t quite your thing, there are also plenty of day-of volunteer opportunities for those who would still like to get involved. We hope you will take part in this fun community event and support our friends at Partners!
